AUSTRALIAN SAPPHIRE ENGAGEMENT RINGS, HANDMADE IN MELBOURNE
Australian sapphires are unlike anything else. Teal stones with the depth of deep water, parti sapphires that shift between blue and green and gold, eucalyptus greens, velvety midnights, each one completely its own. I source every stone ethically and directly, which means I know exactly where it came from.
Every ring in this collection is handmade to order in my Melbourne studio, using ethically sourced Australian sapphires and recycled gold. These are unique engagement rings made to be worn every day and passed down, jewellery with a provenance you can feel proud of.

A parti sapphire is a natural sapphire that shows two or three distinct colours within the same stone, usually a combination of blue, green and yellow. The colours don't blend together, they sit side by side, separated by a visible partition. They're completely natural, completely Australian, and in my opinion one of the most extraordinary gemstones you can find. No two are ever alike.
A teal sapphire sits somewhere between blue and green. Oceanic, moody and utterly distinctive. The colour comes from a combination of iron and titanium within the stone, and the most prized examples have an almost perfect 50/50 balance of both. They're a stunning alternative to a traditional blue sapphire, and they are a reminder of the beautiful hues of the ocean.
I source my sapphires from Australian mines, Australian gem fossickers and lapidarists and gemmologists. They are predominantly from Queensland and New South Wales, which produce some of the most unique coloured sapphires in the world. I source ethically and directly, so I know the provenance of every stone I work with.
For me it means knowing where a stone came from, how it was mined, and that the people involved were treated fairly. Every sapphire in my collection has a traceable source, and I only work with suppliers whose practices I trust.
Recycled gold is gold that's been reclaimed and refined from existing jewellery, electronics or industrial sources rather than newly mined. It's chemically identical to newly mined gold, just with a significantly lower environmental footprint. All of my engagement rings are made in recycled 18ct 14ct or 9ct gold.
Most made-to-order pieces take 4 weeks. I'll always give you a clear timeframe when you order and keep you updated throughout the process. If you require your piece for a special occasion do get in touch and I will try to work with your request.
Made-to-order means I create one of my existing designs specifically for you, in your size, your choice of gold, with your chosen stone. Bespoke means we design something entirely from scratch together. It's a more involved process with a longer timeline, and the result is something that's created to tell your unique love story. Yes, I'd love that. You can book an appointment to visit my Melbourne studio, see stones in person and talk through your ideas. There's nothing quite like holding a parti sapphire up to the light for the first time, and choosing your own unique ethically sourced gemstone!
